Soccer & Rugby Imports was established in 1993. The store began its first seven years in a small retail strip in Westport, CT. Since the year 2000, the Avalos family took over and the business quickly began to outgrow its modest Westport location. In 2004, as the popularity of soccer in the area increased, as well as the reach of the business, the store moved to nearby Southport, CT, only one mile from its previous location. Four more locations have opened in the subsequent years: Ridgefield, CT in 2005, Greenwich, CT in 2009, Madison, CT in 2012, Bronxville, NY in 2014, Derby,CT in 2020 and Farmington in 2022 . After six years and many expansions, the Southport location was outgrown once again.  In an effort to keep pace with their ever increasing demand, a move was made to their present location, in a new building built to its specifications, still located in Southport, CT. Soccer and Rugby Imports has been supplying Connecticut's soccer clubs and organizations across the country and abroad for the past 30 years. From cleats and practice gear from the retail shop to customized jerseys, shorts, warm ups and backpacks from the Team Sales department, thousands of people have been linked to Soccer and Rugby Imports. 

 

Soccer & Rugby Imports is proud of its continued success, which is attributed to its level of customer service and passion for the sport of soccer. It is the company's mission to work tirelessly to promote the game of soccer, as well as educate players, referees and their families about the sport and the proper equipment. As technology grows, so does our ambition. Our website is detailed and specific to provide the same quality of equipment as well as customer service to not only our local communities but to ALL. Our passion is deep and our objective is to spread it across America, and the World.
